Survivor Series Elimination Match Women's Division: Team RAW (Charlotte, Bayley, Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks) vs. Team Smackdown (Nikki Bella, Carmella, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch): Nikki Bella was attacked before the match started, so team coach Natalya replaced her. The ladies kicked off the show and it was a decent match. The stories told were Charlotte, Banks, and Bayley still having issues, figuring out who attacked Nikki backstage, and the Smackdown team trying to overcome the dominance of Nia Jax (who delivered an impressive double suplex to Lynch and Bliss). It came down to ¾ of the Four Horsewomen with Charlotte and Bayley against Lynch where the odds eventually caught up to Lynch, thus leading Team RAW to victory. After the match, Charlotte attacked Bayley for stealing the spotlight and nailed her with a wicked big boot on the outside.  The order of elimination are as follows:
  1. Fox eliminates Carmella
  2. Bliss eliminates Fox
  3. Naomi eliminated via countout
  4. Natalya eliminates Banks
  5. Charlotte eliminates Natalya
  6. Lynch eliminates Jax
  7. Charlotte eliminates Bliss
  8. Bayley eliminates Lynch with Belly to Bayley

-Random Thought: Mauro Ranallo with the line of the night: IT'S CHAOS IN THE SIX!

-WWE2k17 promo video featuring gameplay of Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.

-WWE Story Time promo video. Finally a show that looks interesting to watch on the network.

-James Ellsworth is confronted by The Club backstage. They made chin jokes at Ellsworth only for Foley to come in and stand up for him. He offered him a spot on the RAW roster. Ellsworth declined and ran into Braun Strowman who asks, “Don’t I know you from somewhere?” Ellsworth ran off.

Intercontinental Title Match: The Miz (c) vs. Sami Zayn: At No Mercy, Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz to win the Intercontinental Title. A couple of weeks later on RAW (since Survivor Series became Smackdown vs. RAW themed), WWE announced an inter-promotional Intercontinental Title match with the winner taking the championship to his respective brand. RAW stars Sami Zayn and Rusev had a match to determine the #1 contender for the title, which Zayn won. On Smackdown days before the PPV, The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler to regain the Intercontinental Title which led to this matchup. This was a fine effort between the A-Lister and the Underdog from the Underground. The match was Zayn’s aerial assault vs. Miz’s ground attack with Zayn’s knee being the focus. Miz continued to mock General Manager Daniel Bryan with “YES!” chants and kicks. The finish came when Zayn had Miz in the Figure Four and just as Miz was about tap, Maryse rings the bell to make Zayn think he’s won the match. Miz takes advantage and rolled Zayn up for the win.

-We’re now backstage with AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose who can’t seem to coexist due to their title match at next month's TLC PPV. Shane McMahon comes in and tells them to get on the same page and they agree...for the time being.

-WWE Crash Cage toy playset video appears.

-Survivor Series Elimination Match Tag Division: Team Raw (Enzo and Cass, Shining Stars, The Club, Sheamus, and Cesaro, and The New Day) vs. Team Smackdown (Slater and Rhyno, Breezango, The Usos, Hype Bros and American Alpha): This match was solid, but it wasn’t until the end where things got cooking. The New Day eliminated Breezango early in the match, but would get overconfident and fell victim to an early elimination themselves (surprising for team captains). After that, nearly every team got to showcase their talents and abilities during the match. It came down to The Usos vs. Cesaro and Sheamus. It was a damn fine sprint between these two as we saw superkicks, Brogue Kicks, big swings and submissions galore. Cesaro eliminated an Uso with the Sharpshooter for the win. Cesaro and Sheamus had a cheer off with the crowd after the match was over. The order of elimination is as follows:
  1. New Day eliminated Breezango
  2. Usos eliminated New Day
  3. The Club eliminated Hype Bros
  4. AA eliminated Shining Stars
  5. The Club eliminated AA
  6. Rhyno and Slater eliminated The Club
  7. Enzo and Cass eliminated Rhyno and Slater
  8. Usos eliminated Enzo and Cass
  9. Cesaro and Sheamus eliminated Usos with Sharpshooter

-Foley and Stephanie McMahon gloat about RAW’s success. They even gave Sheamus and Cesaro another tag title shot on Raw.

-The Rock’s new movie “Moana” gets a promo video.

-WWE TLC is two weeks away on the WWE Network.

-WWE Cruiserweight Title Match: THE Brian Kendrick(c) vs. Kalisto. If Kalisto wins, the entire division moves to Smackdown: This was a fun little contest between the Man with a Plan and the Lucha Dragon. Action started off hot with Kalisto hitting a hurricanrana and flip dive. Kalisto’s offense wouldn’t last long as Kendrick took over by rolling up Kalisto into the turnbuckle and ramming his body into the steel steps. In a “that had to hurt” moment, Kalisto nailed Kendrick with a Spanish Fly off the apron onto the floor. Both men will be feeling that in the morning. The match continued and just when it looked like Kalisto had have the match won, Baron Corbin got in the ring, knocked out Brian Kendrick, and laid out Kalisto with End of Days which lead to the DQ. Kendrick retained the Cruiserweight Title to keep the rest of the division on Raw. Once again, a damn fine matchup due to Kalisto’s impressive offense and speed. It’s a shame we couldn’t get a decisive winner, though.

-We cut to the Survivor Series Kickoff Panel with Renee Young, Booker T, Lita, and Jerry “The King” Lawler discussing the events that has taken place so far.

-Corbin walks backstage and Bryan confronts him about his interference. He’s had issues with Kalisto and didn’t want him to succeed on a night where it should have been him making history. He also didn’t want more “little pests” joining Smackdown.

-RAW Exclusive PPV WWE Roadblock, December 18th on the WWE Network.

-Survivor Series 2017 will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas.

-Survivor Series Elimination Match Singles Stars: Team RAW (Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Chris Jericho) vs. Team Smackdown (AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose and Shane McMahon): Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon issued a challenge to RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and she accepted. Baron Corbin was originally on Team Smackdown, but Shane McMahon took his place. This was the match of the night, ladies and gentlemen. It was a fun, chaotic, nostalgic contest all wrapped into one. Moments included Shane McMahon hitting his patented flying elbow drop onto Braun Strowman through a table, Reigns countering Shane’s Coast-to-Coast dropkick with a Spear in midair (which legit knocked Shane out and had to be helped to the back), Strowman destroying James Ellsworth by throwing him off the stage through a table, a Shield reunion triple powerbomb on AJ Styles (Ambrose and Styles came to blows earlier in the match and this was Ambrose’s form of retaliation) and Orton countering Rollin’s Frogslpash with a RKO in midair. It would come down to Wyatt and Orton (Harper at ringside) vs. Reigns. The ending saw Reigns attempting a Spear on Wyatt, but Orton pushed Wyatt out of the way and took the Spear for him. Wyatt immediately took advantage and hit Reigns with Sister Abigail for the win. The order of elimination is as follows:

  1. Strowman eliminated Ambrose
  2. Strowman gets counted out
  3. Kevin Owens is  DQed after hitting Styles with The List
  4. Y2J eliminated by Orton
  5. Shane eliminated due to knockout
  6. Seth eliminated Styles
  7. Orton eliminated Rollins
  8. Wyatt eliminated Reigns with Sister Abigail
  9. Wyatt and Orton are the survivors

-Random Thought: So does Smackdown still get 3 stars from RAW? Because I heard nothing about that during this match. Also, it was funny to hear JBL mess up the call of the winning pin by screaming RAW WINS, when it was really Smackdown who won. It was followed by an awkward silence until JBL corrected himself.

-WWE Network promo video appears.

-Challenge Match: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar: On an episode of RAW, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar issued a challenge to Goldberg. This was due to Lesnar wanting to avenge his WrestleMania 20 loss to Goldberg in 2004. Goldberg accepted and here we are. Spear, Spear, Jackhammer, pin and win. That was the match. Goldberg destroyed Lesnar in quick and shocking fashion. After the match, Goldberg celebrated with his son (the child had his shirt off for some reason) as the show ended around 10:30 PM.

-END Scene

PPV Thoughts: This was an enjoyable outing from WWE. The show was RAW vs. Smackdown themed as it featured inter-promotional title matches with implications on what show the titles could end up on. Coming out of this show, the only major change was Smackdown potentially getting three new additions to their roster and Stephanie McMahon dishing out punishment to the RAW team for losing the big match. The other big story was Goldberg defeating Lesnar in such quick fashion. The match lasted a 1:30 at best and many fans thought this was going to be a long, drawn out brawl. This match also begs the question, what will become of Brock Lesnar? His era of dominance is over thanks to Goldberg as he has conquered The Conqueror. What’s next for Goldberg? Will this be his only match? Will he return at WrestleMania or is this a prelude to a 2017 Hall of Fame induction? It remains to be seen.

Personal Enjoyment: The Single Stars Elimination Match: One of the better Survivor Series Elimination Matches to come along in years.  It lasted for almost an hour, but time flew by due to how entertaining it was. It featured insane action, continuity, high-risk moves, and the memorable, yet-short lived reunion of The Shield. This is what happens when you get the best performers in the company together by giving them time and letting them go out there and run wild. A big nod to all involved in the match and a special nod goes to the referee who kept up with all the action and didn’t get laid out, which was amazing in a big match like this.

-So what did you guys think about the show? Hit or miss? Thumbs up or thumbs down? Let me know in the comment section. Thanks for reading!
